Join social media goddess and author, Tara Hunt, as she and her friends stop at the Gallivan Center, with their “Whuffaoke or Bust: Karaoke Across America” RV tour. 

Salt Lake is the 4th City of their 13 city tour.  The main goal is to spread karaoke and social media goodwill across the nation.  The Tour features a 27’ Winnebago wired for live Internet streaming and Karaoke fun.  This event is being hosted by BetaLoft, Salt Lake’s only coworking space.

WHO:                   The ‘Whuffaoke or Bust’ cast of characters include:           

 

Tara Hunt is the author of “The Whuffie Factor: Using the Power of Social Networks to Build Your Business” and co-founder of Citizen Space, a coworking space in San Francisco.

Tony Bacigalupo is the founder and mayor of New Work City, a coworking space in Manhattan, and is the co-author of “I’m Outta Here! How coworking is making the office obsolete.”

Alex Hilman is a co-founder of Independents Hall (Indy Hall), a co-working space in Philadelphia. He’s also a freelance Web developer, community strategy consultant and a partner in IndyHall Labs, a software development catalyst.   

Plus several other social pioneers.

 

WHY:            Whuffaoke brings together several Web 2.0 applications and related products to keep people all over the world in on the action: The tour will feature the iOKi karaoke app, the first-ever solution for taking karaoke with you anywhere. Justin.TV will livestream the entire tour; Eye-Fi gets all Whuffaoke photos to Flickr directly from the crew’s cameras; Lunch.com will be a place the crew opines on all things Whuffaoke, Midomi will settle all bets about song titles and artists,  and Dipity aggregates the crew’s social media activity into a timeline visible at Whuffaoke.com, where you’ll also find everything else you need to know.
